Biographical Note:
Born on 1949 in Zaporaozhie, Ukraine, Valerie Chuikov studied at the Kiev Republic's Special Art College, graduated from the Kiev State Art Institute in 1974,
and is a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukraine. He was awarded a number of first prizes in painting at the Republican Exhibitions of Ukrainian Artists and prizes at the National Exhibition "The
Best Portrait for the Last 5 Years" in 1976. In 1982 the Laureate of State award, named after N. Ostrovsky, was conferred upon him.
Since 1997 he has exhibited his works in the Alberti Gallery, Anna-Mei Chadwick Gallery, Roy Miles Gallery and the New Grafton Gallery. His works are included
in the National Ukrainian Museum, the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture's Collection, Sumy's and Dnepropetrovks' Art Museums, the Moscow Academy of Art Collection and in private collections throughout Europe and the USA. He works in
a number of genres, including portrait, historical pictures, still life and landscape, and is currently domiciled in England.
